        The Cumming & Dobbie name has been around since the year 1911.  It was in 1986 that Richard Osterbeck purchased the company from Mr. Gordon Cumming, forming Cumming & Dobbie (1986) Ltd.  A new direction for the corporation was ushered in with the purchase of several new backhoes, loaders and semi trucks.  As Cumming & Dobbie grew there was a need to move to a larger, more spacious location at 3000 Victoria Ave. East, in Brandon, MB.
 
          Cumming & Dobbie (1986) Ltd. has grown and expanded over the years, and was one of the first Manitoba companies to have a fully trained Safety Coordinator and safety program.  Cumming & Dobbie (1986) Ltd. is also COR certified.
 
           The company has successfully marketed itself as a premiere earth moving and gravel supply source, able to safely and economically pursue large projects in this region.
